F&G Magic Band and Old Star Wars Band Questions

So, how quickly do you think the new Frozen Fever magic band will sell out?
We will be going to the F&G but not until early May.
Trying to figure out if I should buy online now or wait ($40+ on eBay right now)

Also, the Star Wars Yoda Magic Band. Has anyone seen an unlinked version for sale online recently?

Old Yoda and Vader MagicBands can NOT be unlinked. They were sold at a time when "link it later" did not exist and you HAD to link them to a ticket on-site. So don't buy them on eBay... you won't be able to use them!

Open edition bands are in DTD, right?
And do you know if the bands that make lights/sounds now will do that in the future, or does that programming change?

Yes, any bands will link to your account that you buy at WDW. Open editions are in DTD. Lights and sounds from special bands will continue to work after events are completed.

I didn't know there were lights and sounds on magic bands. Tell me more! I was just planning on using the one they ship me, but now I'm intrigued....

The lights and sounds aren't on the band themselves but some, when touched to one of the rfid Mickey readers, there is a sound and light colors that are activated on the podium thing.

Are any Star Wars themed magic bands available in parks still?

The stormtrooper and pilot ones are still available. No lights or sounds. The mickey lightsaber one that makes noises and sounds is supposedly sold out now while the donald is still available.
