Hello All. I've never been to F&G and never thought I would with my DD17 who is allergic to flowers. However this year with it starting early it appears that we will be at WDW with our allergic DD. Has anyone with allergies been to Epcot during this time? If so how has it affected your allergies? Would a once a day OTC drug be enough for her to get through? Epcot has always been a major park for us. Will we have to modify our plans? Any experience and advice is greatly appreciated.

I've only been to F&G once so I doubt I'm much help. My primary allergies are pine trees, dust and mold, but I was congested going through Epcot and I take daily prescription allergy meds. Depending on the how severe your DD allergies are I would speak with her Dr. and at least take some meds with you just in case it's needed.

ask the CM for the food labels before you allow her to eat anything.

yes it takes time but hey it is worth it.

my allergies are rye, oats, pepper, most vegetables, shellfish and any fish with any flavor, pork

so definitely have to watch what I eat at any of the WDW parks.

Thanks for the reply Spiceycat but I think you misunderstood my question. It is to plants and flowers that my daughter is allergic. Thank goodness it's not food as that is something we have enjoyed at Epcot. Haven't been during Food and Wine either but it is something I am planning for the future.

boy that was stupid.

also allergic to that stuff - take an allergy pill each morning - but that does not always stop it.

so just be prepared to leave if she looks like she has problems.

also be sure to stop at the nurse station to have her check out - after a few hours.

that say it is not just Epcot - spring has lots of things blossuming that don't even look like they have flowers the rest of the year.

so definitely tell your doctor and see if he has something a little stronger for her take. allergy medicine make me sleeply - so don't be surprised if she is less actived
