Does the FL system accept EZPass or not? If not - I'll just try to bring a couple of singles and quarters..I'm not known for having even a dollar of cash on me so this is on my packing list!

Thanks!

I believe they use something called Sunpass and it is not the EZ Pass. So bring that change!

As others have said, they use sunpass or epass. The ezpass we have in the northeast won't work. If you are using route 417 out of mco you will hit two tolls to Disney at $1.25 each. I just made sure I had 4 quarters with me so we could have exact tolls for both directions.

If you are renting a car you can have the sunpass enabled for the rental car. It works off of the license plate.

Suggest that, whenever possible, use the manned lanes and get a receipt. There are recent reports and complaints about exact change lanes not working properly.

Exactly.

On 417 you do have to kind of exit the highway to pay the toll then merge back on. I have seen plenty of people on this board who have missed the "exit" and fly through and get fined for toll violations. There are manned booths so you don't need exact change. If you are just going straight to and from Disney you will just have teh 2 $1.25 tolls. However, if you exit any of the other ramps, you will have an additional toll (usually .50, unmanned). We usually get off at Orange Blossom Trail for the Super Target. Even though they are exact change and unmanned, there is a bill changer there if you need it.

Most rental car companies that offer the Sunpass charge you a pretty high daily fee just for the privelege of it, so I wouldn't bother with that.
