Okay...stupid question...but I've never used eyedrops before. Does it hurt? I'm a BIG baby when it comes to pain...so I'd rather be prepared. I know what to do, look up put the drop and then close it..any tips? Thanks for not laughing! lol

horriable pain that will last hours

Pd is being bad again... No they don't hurt. It's just the waiting for them to drop out of the bottle into your eye that's the pain.

When I had to give eyedrops to my son, the doc told me the easiest way was to close your eyes, and pool the drops in the corner of your eye next to the nose. Then, open your eyes. That way you don't have the anticipation of waiting for the drop to fall.

Okay...I'm done! :bounce: BabyTigger99; I took the easy way out and put the drops in the corner, which worked! Yay! But now thier just sitting there in my eye and it feels really wierd. Like my eyeball's swimming in a fishbowl. Oh well, not as bad as getting it stained at the Docs, that was wierd!

I don't think the drops hurt ... It's more of the anticipation of waiting for the drops to fall and me trying to keep my eyes open that is hard.

Whoops..double post! But on the side...that was the problem for me too, waiting for the drops to fall, and also being able to see the first one coming!

It also feels cold and I don't like the shock. I run them under warm water first so they aren't so cold.

Some drugs are more sensetive to heat than others so check first.
