Hi everyone. I hope it is a good Friday for all. Lily is home sick today with a slight fever and a tummy bug. She is doing okay.

I am supposed to go away for girls getaway weekend tomorrow. It is four hours away from here in the mountains. I hope Lily is well enough for me to leave (and my DH or Elise don't come down with it.)

I guess I forgot to post the on 2 threads yesterday--- everything is okay here. We lost power yesterday morning for a couple of hours. Our moms called to check on us. The storm really damage a town that is about 2 hours away. We had some strong winds and lots of rain.

How was the trip, spill the beans and tell us all of the details...

but most importantly.. how were the CROCS? Was walking in WDW a dream with them?

I'm swearing off self-installing vertical blinds for this house. I woke up NC Beast several times when I dropped screws into the vent (had a filter which caught them) and tools. I think I stick to drapes and curtains for now if I don't do better with horizontal blinds. Our windows have funky measurements.

I think my husband will join you. He put wood blinds in our two large livingroom windows. The first one took days. We have plaster not dry wall. Nothing would go into the block, we were just making large holes in the plaster. He had to go buy some heavy duty masonary bit to continue the job. The second blind went much faster.

I might get the "Window Treatment book for dummies" before we get any more guests. One of these days, NC Beast will find newly painted walls or some creative touches.

Today will be a festive day around the house - Christmas tree #1 is going up in the living room today

. I like having this tree up for Thanksgiving, because you can see it from the dining room and it looks so pretty. Plus, it sheds some extra light in the living room, which we need. I have no lights in there because this is a living room that no one is allowed to sit in - yes, I one of those goofy people I do allow my company to sit in there though, so that's why it's nice to have the extra light.

geffric - What are you baking for Thanksgiving? I'm thinking about baking some cookies tomorrow.

BlueBayou - I'm sorry Lily isn't feeling well I hope you have a good weekend this weekend and Lily starts to feel better soon

Belle - I'm glad you and your DH are okay - I was worried about you!!!!

Wally - WELCOME HOME - we missed you!!!!! I can hardly wait to hear all about your trip. I bet Stella is happy to have you both home.

SLO I am baking pumpkin pie ( of course) pumpkin bread, chocolate chip chocolate cheese cake, and cranberry bread.

eric and several of his friends are by you today. they went paintballing in Crete..
Tonight is Eric's football team banquet. Geoff is at a model UN thing all day. And i should be cleaning and shopping and cleaning and baking.. so i need to get off the DIS. My excuse was that I needed to go to Allrecipes and get the pumpkin stuffing recipe..

The trip was great.
The Crocs were fab. I usual have some kind of foot fatigue at the end of a WDW day. None - Zip - Nada this time!
I did them with and without socks and neither seem to matter.

Hey - Paul seems to be even further into the DVC.
In case you did catch it - he's a tougher sell then me.
We're in the info gathering stage. Know anything about the resellers?
The new AKL DVC one sounds like it is going to be verry nice.

Welcome back Wally B, your trip looks fun. My best friends are in WDW right now and they keep sending me pictures with their cell phone!! I am trying not to get too envious!!

So what has everyone been doing today? I guess getting ready for thanksgiving? OK, question from an ignorant English girl (sorry!) is Thanksgiving on the same date every year or how is it calculated? We were talking about this at work on Friday and no one knew the answer.
Today I have been shopping for some Christmas decorations. I wanted some more lights for outside the house, the icicle ones that look like it is snowing and another set of lights. I also bought a light up wreath and got creative and this evening I made a Disney wreath, I was going to put it on the front door but I like it too much so I think I will put in on the living room door so I can see it. I am quite impressed with myself as I am not the most artistic person in the world but I think it turned out OK. I'll take a picture and post it later.

Oh well, I better go as dinner is ready. Have a good evening everyone.
