Extreme Makeover Home Edition

I guess most people watched "Friends" but we've never really watched that so we were watching the Extreme Home Makeover show.
I love this show!
But, I didn't know it was going to be a longer show last night.
We get up early (4:00) so we go to bed pretty early too.
We stayed up to see the end of the show, thinking it would be over at 10:00.
But...NO!!
We would have to watch "Dateline" or something and then the show would be back on at 10:50 to show the end, when the NY firefighters arrive home to see their new apartment.
Who ever heard of such a thing??
I was mad.
We went to bed.

I would have liked to see the final outcome.

Is that what happened?? I had it recorded on Tivo so I could watch Friends, and I couldn't figure out why it was still recording an hour later.

Count me among the annoyed. Started watching this with DD and expected it to finish around her bedtime. She was really frustrated that I had to send her to bed !

This was a complete rip! So here I was at 10 pm catching up on my recorded Survivor and then after the Home Makeover in NYC. 10:45 pm rolls around (Just so youget how wierd this is that I am still up, I am normally sawing logs by 10pm) and I am still catching up and suddenly hear that very annoying woman state that they will be back at what I thought she said was 10:15 - I almost threw the romote at the TV - then she said it again and I uderstood it was supposed to be 10:50. Well only luck had me able to watch that because I actually watched the tape that evening. In any other normal night I would have caught up the next night with the tape. I WOULD HAVE MISSED THE REVEAL!

I was confused through the whole episode - I thought it was disjointed and then to anyone who missed the reveal - you didn't miss anything. You saw pretty much everything through the night that was put in. They surprised the two with a boat at the end but the remote controlled screen did not work to lift up and show it out the window. I hope the also bought them a slip or else that boat is going to become a big time hassle for them. They also were not able to fit the chair they had them buy into the apartment so it was sitting on the sidewalk and they were going to donate it to the firehouse but the guy who picked it out was crushed - mostly because he hadn't seen the inside yet.

I really liked what they did to the apartment - it did come out beautifully and was a HUGE improvement. I just didn't like the setup of the show or the reveal at 10:50pm. That was very, very bad of the show to do.

Ditto.....did't like the setup at all--the hours remaining bouncing back and forth...and who was the girl????

I did like the recaps of old shows...

I fell asleep right as they were walking upstairs!!! So I missed the ending!

The girl (host?) WAS so annoying!!

This episode was very poorly done.
It was not very smart to tell the guys to buy whatever furniture they wanted, especially where space was such a big concern.

The show is always rather hectic but this was a FRENZY.

And that GIRL was so annoying!!



Waiting until 10:50 for the reveal was just ridiculous.

We had suffered enough by 10:00!

i only watched the last part at 10:50 since i watched friends. but i thought it was TERRIBLY done. Ty and that irritating girl host were talking over each other. outside you couldnt hear anything and inside she was loud and obnoxious.

but hey, they always do a great job on the makeovers! and this was no exception!!!
