I don't think those dogs look miserable. The reason that they groom curly dogs is that their coat is naturally fluffy and easy to manicure. Besides, what self-respecting German Shepard would allow someone to decorate him like Sesame Street characters.

I would totally do that to my little Bichon-poodle.
