We keep our food budget to around $250 /month for our family of 4.
Like many say above
A)evaluate your coupon options in your area.
B)connect with a great coupon sire local to u. I am in NC and we use southersavers. Com
C)connect to all stores in your areas electronic/mobile coupons (register your cards)- and get a card to all stores you shop!
D) get the ibotta and savingstar apps
E)figure out how you are getting your coupons

We get our papers delivered on Sunday because we are told they always make sure delivery papers get coupon stuffed first
I have a coupon accordion ...3 of them, 1 for food, hygiene, and cleaners

Also remember to never buy something because you have a coupon. If generic is cheaper, or Aldi is cheaper when compared to coupon prices, then go with what ever is cheapest. However, I rarely purchase anything without a coupon unless generic was cheaper.

Always combine coupons with sales, not regular price.

Stock up on non-perishables when they are dirt cheap.

I have probably 10 tubes of toothpaste, 5-6 sticks of deodorant, 7-8 shampoos and conditioners that I paid little to nothing for at CVS, BiLo, and Harris Teeter.

I recommend to taste test first- get in on a deal and get something free. the Forums in www.slickdeals .net have great ideas on moneymaking ideas for CVS. Christmastime is a great time to stock up at CVS- they usually have great black Friday freebies- combine with coupons, and you get some serious free $ to spend at CVS for the next month.

Agree, always use a coupon on a sale item! I never pay for toothpaste, deodorant or mouthwash. Yeah, it's not food, but you need it. LOL! I use klip2save.com to get my coupons. I used to get the paper, but that got old and tiring. This is easier!
