I am thinking of adding a few 'extras' to our holiday plans and wanted some opinions on them. There are 3 adults (Disney adults) and 2 children, going 29th Oct - 12th Nov 2012

MNSSHP - definitely wanting to do this, thinking of 1st November, rather then Halloween. Any thoughts?
We could also do the Christmas Party before we leave - not sure about this.
BBB - Thinking of doing the basic package for the 2 younger DD's and then dinner at Akershus.
Photopass - it's $99 if you prepay, and I'm quite tempted as I never appear infamily photos as I'm always taking them lol.
Haunted Carriage Ride - thought about doing this, but could we all fit into one carriage.:confused3

Are there any other experinces or extras that people have done and would recommend...or never do again!

Loved mnsshp and was wondering if to add to ours but not sure girls will enjoy it

Did bbb for our wedding for my then 13 year old sister

We also did the photopass for our wedding and thoight it was great, alos thinking of doing it this year

Love MNSSHP, it's a must for us....I would avoid the 31st as it will be busier that night!

Did BBB for my DD who was 4 on our last trip, booked the middle package and took my own dress....she loved it and we will be doing the same this year....once they are made up you can take them to have photos done and they will put these on your photo pass

We have ordered the photopass this year as it's alot cheaper to pre pay, I just make sure I have plenty of photos taken and ask for the magic shots.

I have never done the haunted carrige ride, so sorry I can't help with that.

I love MNSSHP, done both that and MVMCP last year and doing MNSSHP again this year. In all honesty I would not rush back to the Christmas party

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

For all those little girls dreaming of being a Disney Princess, this latest addition to the World of Disney is the perfect fit. More of a salon than a store, there are 10 salon stations where girls can get their hair, nails and makeup done. A second Boutique is located at Cinderellla's Castle in the Magic Kingdom. Reservations are strongly recommended. The number to call is: 407-WDW-STYLE.

Your girls will love BBB :lovestruc

Photopass is worth every $$$, if you let the photographers know you have pre purchased the cd they will take loads of photos for you, make sure you ask for the magical photos. Also you can add the bbb photos to your photopass too.

MNSSHP is brilliant, never been to MVMCP but think its just as good.

You could spend an evening on the boardwalk and hire the surrey bikes. Loads of fun :rotfl:

For us we have to go to Hoop dee Doo show, absolutely brilliant and all the kids love it.

Thanks everyone! Any other comments or ideas?:goodvibes
Has anyone got photos from BBB?

We are doing 1st November so might see you there:thumbsup2

Photopass is really good especially if you prebook like you say

I took my own photos while I was waiting with my DD. They do have photo pass photographers taking photos throughout the makeover, but we didn't get a photopass last time.

here are a few that I took

We've done MNSSHP once and MVMCP 3 times. Personally I preferred the xmas party - but I think that is because I love christmas.

I'd personally not do MNSSHP just after arriving as it will be very hard for you to stay awake until midnight when you are still adjusting to US time.

The first few days you will be up early then early to bed - it's the best time to do 8am character breakfasts and ropedrops and save the later night stuff like fireworks or a party for the second week.

BBB is a highlight for my daughter, she has done the middle package twice and is booked for this trip - hair, nails, makeup works out at $60 inc tax. Take their own dresses (you can pick genuine disneyworld ones up off ebay or perhaphs disneystore after xmas sale) They get a bag of stuff and clips worth about $20 inc. Do an early am apt so they can be princesses all day.

Definitely pre pay the photopass for $99. Over 14 days you will get lots of pics and can add borders. After BBB take the girls to the studio and they will do posed pics and put them on the card for free. If the xmas trees are up in the hotel lobby's there will be photographers there in the evening doing posed pics - use for an xmas present for grandma?!

Never done a carriage ride.

Love the photos Sapper383.:goodvibes Thanks for posting.

As we arrive on 29th Oct, we haven't got much choice about when to go to MNSSHP :( The last night is Nov 1st. I thought on that day we would have a lazy day by the pool, so hopefully manage to stay awake later.

Has anyone got photos from BBB?

If you look on my photos on facebook you will see some Photos of Ebony at BBB.

Also Liam went to pirates league which was really good, great for boys and girls who aren't into princesses, again photos on facebook

Personally I would skip MNSSHP and go to MVMCP. Like another poster said on the first week you will struggle to stay awake to get the most out of the party. The christams Party is very magical and we loved it!!

Photopass - Definatly worth the $99 we get a photpass every year and have never regretted the decision. In fact our last trip the photpass pics were the best I have ever had done and the photographers really captured some special moments!

BBB - I am doing this for the first time with dd in 2 weeks time so when we return ill make sure I post some pics!!

Haunted Carriage ride - I have never done this but i have reaserhed it a lot and you can fit 5 people into the carriage! There is lots of reviews on this on all ears! www.allears.net

Hope that helps.

Hi, we love the MNSSHP party but we have never managed to stay til the end, we are going again this year on 1st November on our 3rd day as like yourself have no choice so could let you know how long we manage to stay awake! We are also doing the carriage ride on 30th October (early!). We did it last year and the kids really enjoy it, we fit in the carriage fine last year when they were 10, 9 and 8. Would also recommend the photopass prepay as its great to get photos altogether and then add borders when you get home (helps to take your mind off being back home!)

You are doing 'our' holiday a year before us.:) Please let me know how you get on!

have done both the MNSSHP and MVMCP and preferred the christmas one more. Although I don;t think there is much in it. Wasn't so keen on the halloween fireworks but the children we were with loved all the sweets they could get!!!

This year we've booked for the Magic Family Tour in MK

From what I can gather you meet up with a guide and I think 12 guest max and you follow clues that take you around MK with a character meet at the end.

It might involve some hopping and skipping along the way but i know my DDs will love it!
