'Extras' Because it's my honeymoon??

Hey Jamie -

We will be honeymooning at WDW October 10-17. We're staying at the Dolphin, because we wanted a more adult experience than the other resorts offer. If I want to hear a curse word on HBO, I think the choice should be up to me. We'll still eat at the resort restaurants, but I'm still on the fence about the ears with the veil. The veil on the headband is just so long!

We've each been to WDW twice and DL once and are so excited, especially since the Food & Wine Festival will be going on at Epcot!

We live in NJ (right across the Hudson/commuter town) and are flying JetBlue. Their fares are phenomenal, if you want to save money and loads of time. We're leaving so early two days after our wedding, we just want to GET there after all this planning!!!

If you're wearing the ears, we'll be sure to say hello.

You can always cut teh veil a little bit...
I can't wait to go, every day I get more and more excited. I'm from NJ moved to NY last year because my fiance has to live in NY for his job. And I can't fly! Too afraid. Won't be able to enjoy myself knowing that i had to fly back. We're leaving October 2nd driving! Can't wait!!! We will be wearing the ears, if I can find them down there...

I got ZERO... Nothing extra special... Ate at CRT.. and we did NOT get the etched glasses..

We stayed at the contemporary conc. and there was not even a note of congradulations....

So I guess it just depends... But I would not count on it :(

(Yes, we had honeymoon on all of our priority seatings, and I wore my bride ears everywhere, And the staff knew it was our honeymoon.. made no difference)

But we still had fun though :)

As Piglet stated do not expect anything and therefore do not set yourself up for disappointment. That is easy to do on these forums when you read of others get some type of special attention.

However as stated earlier many people every day celebrate some type of special occassion at Disney World and many spend lots of money there.

We have friends that attended a wedding at Disney this spring and the total cost for the event was $350,000. They even rented out MGM for an after hours party which included Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster.

:wizard: Here are a few pics of the room and tub area of the WL honeymoon suite.... Enjoy your honeymoon, and if you really want some disney magic, you should plan ahead to avoid disapointment. We too had to do some creative planning and spending to get the best trip and it was WONDERFUL

Cinderella's Royal Table will give you beautiful champagne glasses, etched.

They're on our mantle :)

Ohhhhhhh mannnnnn!!!!!!!!!!! We were on our honeymoon and ate at the castle and didn't know about any glasses. Probably because we didn't say anything!!!!!!!

We did half of our honeymoon in WDW (first half at Secrets Excellence in Punta Cana) and stayed at CSR. We went expecting nothing extra and were pleasantly surprised and appreciative of what we got. At CSR they upgraded our room to an amazing water view and gave us a discount on spa services, we got balloons and a card signed by Mickey and Minnie in the room congratulating us. At all of our sit down meals (our awesome Dreams Unlimited TA told EVERYONE we were honeymooners) we got a little something with our meal-free desserts, cards, drinks taken off the bill, things like that. CMs and guests as well that we saw in the parks were always congratulating us and asking about our wedding and where we were from. We got a lot of pics of us together because people were constantly offerring to take them!
Anyway-just let it be known on your resort and dining ressies that it is your honeymoon and then enjoy the trip. Anything else that comes your way is pixie dust!

We spent the second half of our honeymoon at WDW in the GF in Honeymoon Deluxe at the RPC (we spent the first 10 days at Biras Creek- just a dream) I also did expect anything...which you should not. We got a welcome gift os tuxedo strawberries, a picture of Cinderella and Prince Charming and when we wnet to V&A's we got a chocolate postcard with congratulations and a red rose. I don't remember anything else...It was the most wonderful 3 1/12 weeks of my life...everything was wonderful

That's why we return to the caribbean and WDW every year for our anniversary! The combo is just magical. First you relax...then off to fun...
