We just returned from a six-night stay at WDW. We stayed at Coronado Springs for our first night since we were unable to book the GF exclusively for our initial week. We added Saturday night to our stay to provide us with a little more magic.

Now then: To the topic at hand.
While all of the CMs we encountered seemed to have the Christmas Spirit one must be singled out for her extraordinary concern and compassion.

On Tuesday night at Boma, next to us, a Canadian family of four were celebrating the young son's birthday. We inroduced ourselves and began to chat. My wife was also celebrating her December birthday and I took an obligatory photo. The family did not have a camera so I offered to take a picture of the boy and his mom (who was sitting next to him). I told them that I would process the picture on the next day and sent it to their hotel before they departed. They gave me their name and their hotel. Well, we decided that it would be better if we processed the picture and place it in a Disney frame. Just a photo wasn't good enough. Sure, they were strangers but they were a long way from home and celebrating a birthday at WDW. We brought the farmed picture in a box to the reservations desk and, by chance, Leigh attended to us. We told her what we had done and she assured us that the gift would be delivered through the hotel-to-hotel concierge delivery service Well, the next day we saw her and she said told us: "In order to make sure it got there before the family left I drove over to the hotel and delivered it to concierge myself after my shift was over." Now THAT'S what I call extraordinary! To be sure, a formal letter will go the GF acknowledging the efforts of superb CM. Of course, the Canadian family will never know about most of this. But they will have a photo taken by strangers and delivered by an "unknown" CM. And they will smile.

What a wonderful way to spread some magic while you were there! Thanks so much for sharing this!

That is such a sweet story, and why we keep going back to the most magical place on Earth!

1) There is no such thing as "concierge-to-concierge delivery service".
2) She was talking about personal delivery all along.
3) But, without bragging or trying to draw attention to herself.

4) Sometimes you get the CM's who just want to help the guest.
5) And, they go out of their way!

1) That's the term is used to describe the WDW delivery system, you know, something akin to the service that drops off puchased items from the parks back to the resorts.

2) She worked at reservations, not concierge. She told us that she would give it those who conducted such delivery services at the GF.

3) She told us that she appreciated our gesture and wanted to make sure it got to their hotel before the family left. So when her shift was over, she drove it to the AKL herself.

4) Couldn't agree more.

5) Indeed!

But the main thing is that we made contact with yet another outstanding CM. And somewhere in Canada, a boy is looking at his birthday pic in a Disney frame!

We received a phone call from Walt Disney World headquarters this morning acknowledging our letter about the GF's Leigh and her extraordinary service!

 :yay: :cheer2:

I will never forget the time that I was chosen to be a volunteer at the Hoop-Dee-Doo and we did not have our video camera with us. A family that was sitting near us heard us talking about not having the camera and video taped the entire thing for us. We exchanged names and gave him our address. Once we returned home we waited and waited, but nothing. We finally gave up. About two years later, we get a package in the mail. It contained a copy of the video tape and a letter saying that they packed the camera away and didn't think another thing of it until they got it out for their upcoming trip to WDW. It was such a wonderful surprise and an incredible kind gesture. There is Disney magic all around!

Indeed, there is Disney magic all around. In fact, we will make it part of all of our subsequent trips to provide extra magic to someone or some family.
