extra unused PHP passes

Would any of you "dis professionals" think it would be okay for me to purchase 2 of these tickets to help this poster out.? I don't even know if that is a good price or not I haven't even started looking into the prices of the Park hoppers yet. (still working on the location;) )I would appreciate feedback before I make a decision. I'm not sure how ebay works just yet either. Very green with the whole internet still.:D

That is a difficult call. Personally, and certainly nothing against the OP, I would only purchase from a known dealer or Disney. I would never purchase from Ebay. This is just MHO.

Mine too. :)

At this point, I'm so desperate to get ride of them that I'm selling them for what I paid for them -- $200.

Does anyone else find this a bit offensive? That the OP would suggest that at one point he wanted to profit from them? I would suggest as well to stick to the proper sellers... you might pay a few dollars more, but at least you know they'll work! :hyper:

I was hoping it was just funny wording and just let it go.

I was also hoping it was just 'funny wording'. I think that if I was 'stuck' with extra tickets that I would be willing to let them go at a discount just to recoup a little of my expense!

Just so that I'm able to explain my own wording...

When I initially listed these extra passes on ebay, I had a BIN price of $215 and a reserve of $210, both still less than most of the online brokers of this ticket. This is more than the $200 I paid for them because of the fees that ebay charges. I'm also paying interest on the $4000 I put on my credit card to intially purchase these for my family. With a sudden death (the reason the reunion was cancelled), I didn't feel right about asking family members to pay for these tickets.

Within the past week I've been able to sell about 8 of my tickets, but I still have several left. I can to this board after months of being a grateful reader with all the wonderful advice that is given, hoping to receive some wonderful advice myself, not have my credibility, honesty, and overall trustworthiness questioned. Personally, I've been a PAP holder for several years and visit the Mouse about once a month. :earsgirl: I wouldn't dare to even imagine going against Disney, which is why I specifically emailed them with my dilemma.

I'm a respected member of my community, serve on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations, a university administrator, and a faculty member of that same institution -- if there's one thing I have, it's credibility.

Now, of course, I don't expect someone to know this just from a simple post, afterall, I am a newbie posting to this forum, but perhaps a bit of courtesy before the first toss of the allegations.

Back to the original post -- any other thoughts on how I can use these tickets? I had a wonderful suggestion by a co-worker of using them as gifts (B-Day, Christmas).:earsgirl: :earsgirl:

You could donate them to Make a Wish and write it off your taxes.

I am interested in buying 2, but I am confused. If you are desperate to get rid of them, Why are you still selling them for what you paid for them. You should be selling them to get rid of them. We can get 5 day Hopper plus passes with 4 extras for 256.00(Wal Mart Kissimmee) 200 for a 4 day PHP is not a good buy. Please let me know if they come down any cheaper...

This is getting really close to breaking the guidelines of this board.
Word to the wise, take it to IMs.

Gail is correct here. "For Sale" or "Wanted to Buy" posts and transactions are not permitted on this board. As Gail suggested, if you would like to set up something privately, please do so with email or private messages.

Thank you.

I purchased 4 php from Connections that I had to return. It was definitely over 7 days. The information I received when I purchased the tickets was that I had 90 days to return them. Have you had them over 90 days? If not you may want to check into it. I got my money reimbursed with no problems.

Good Luck

That was the same thing I though...90 days. I called them and they now say 7 days. It's a moot case anyway now because I cancelled my membership within the trial period (30 days), which was before the reunion was cancelled and they only give refunds to current members.

BTW, I'm also still fighting two charges they processed on my credit cards -- a $244 membership fee and another $45 misc. charge.

I just keep chanting....there's no place like Disney, there's no place like Disney!::MinnieMo
