Hi,

I am wondering what the cost of adding daily T & T service....or just extra towels is?

Thanks much,

Amee

I don't have my materials here at work w/me, but of the top of my head, for a studio (probably the other rooms too) the cost for an extra set of towels is $6

Does anyone know if you have to request extra towels through MS, or can you just do it when you check in? We like a lot of towels and I know we will want another set or 2. I know people may thinks it's weird but one of the things about DVC that made me hesitate to buy was no daily maid service. I love coming back from the parks and seeing the room all perfect again. :)
Oh well, at least we can get extra towels!

Just call housekeeping from your room to request the extra set(s) of towels.

If MS even takes this request, there's a very good chance it will be missed by the resort staff anyway - ditto for requesting at check in. Just call Housekeeping from your room.

Best wishes -

P.s. To see the room "perfect" again, you'd have to pay for daily housekeeping - for a studio that's $25/day requested.

And since the housekeepers won't (or shouldn't) touch your personal belongings, you'd have to have those all put away out of sight before you leave for the parks. (Just kidding - I smiled when I read your "all perfect again" comment, LOL).

I don't think you're weird at all.....that's actually one of the only things I don't like about DVC. I really love coming back after a long day in the parks, to find the room all tidy, beds made, fresh towels, etc....now that's vacation to me (I know I can pay extra at DVC to get that if I really wanted). But, our kids are getting older, and the days of 5 of us sharing one hotel room are over. The cost of reserving two rooms at the Disney resorts (moderate and above) comes out to just about the same as our DVC cost per year; and now I don't have to play the "waiting for codes" game anymore. I guess that's worth making my own bed for a few days!! :teeth:

How many towels do you actually get in a 'set' in a studio? We tend to go through quite a bit, too.

I believe there are 4 each. extra towels cost $6 I believe.
If you want fresh towels everyday then you would request Trash/Towel which is $10 daily.

Wow. I guess DH will be roughing it with just one towel, 'cuz I intend to use 3. LOL

I look at it this way. When you stay in a non-DVC room, the cost of housekeeping is built into the room rate. With DVC, you have the choice if you want to pay for it or not.

Its funny, but I called when we checked in for more towels, housekeeping brought a bunch up and never charged me for them. I called again in a few more days and was never charged. Has anyone been charged for these on this board?

We are staying in a 1 bdr for 8 night/9 days, so I guess I will just request a couple extra sets of towels since we get a full cleaning service on the 4th day. I will miss the fresh sheets every day. Not that I change my sheets at home everyday, I just like it on vacation! :)

The regular WDW resorts only change sheets every 3 or 4 days, if that.
