Hi. The main family group is 2 adults and 2 children under 9. This group will be staying at the Poly for 7 nights. We intend to book a package with ticket and the dining plan. However, we really want another relative (adult) to come join us, but he can only make it for 4 nights - he can sleep on the daybed.

So now that there have been changes made to the dining plan; can we add him to our package but for only 4 nights? or do we have to book him for all 7 nights including tickets/ddp? I suppose the main group could use his extra meal credits?

As far as I know, everyone on the reservation has to be on the same package - ie same room, same tickets, same dining package for the 7 nights. This happened with us and my MIL last September. We used her leftover dining credits for the remainder of our stay.

Everyone staying in your room must be on the same package for the length of the stay. You'd have to book him for all 7 nights, and he would have to have the same tickets as the rest of the group.

When you add him to your ressie, reduce your park tickets to the number of days that he will be with you. Once you are at WDW the rest of you can upgrade your tickets to include the additional days. As far as the DDP, I think that your sol'n is the best (i.e. the main group can enjoy your relatives remaining meal credits)
