We will be sailing in four weeks on the Magic with my wife and two kids. We were not able to book a cabin for four (sold out). So we booked an outside veranda room for three. My daughter was booked with my mom. We plan to keep both kids with us. Can the cabin stewart bring us an extra mattress to put on the ground for my daughter to sleep on. They did this on the Carnival Paradise. Or should we bring an extra kids inflatable bed. :cool1: HELP from anyone!!!

Bring the inflatable bed...the mattress is not "officially" allowed or available. Our kids shared a fold-out couch in our room until one got sick and we didn't want too much germ-sharing. Then the other child slept on the cushions we pulled off the couch and the chair but it didn't work that great. Wish I'D brought a blow-up mattress even though we shouldn't have needed one.

Depending on your daughter's age and size, she may be able to sleep with two chairs pushed together, if you have them. I saw this mentioned by another cruiser.

Just curious to know, where were you planning on putting the extra mattress? When you say "ground" do you literally mean on the verandah? Staterooms are a little tight for actual floor space. The only true space is between the closet doors and bathroom walls...doorway entrance/exit to your room. I suppose you could put the coffe table out on the verandah and use the floor space in between the sofa and vanity, but you couldn't pull out the sleeper. Why is it your DD doesn't stay with your Mom? You didn't mention ages. :sunny:

Reservations cancel daily especially in the time frame you are at now. I would have my TA check into a Cat 6 that sleeps 4 to see if there is one availalbe now. You might can switch staterooms. Or you can always call DCL.

I agree - check if you could get a cabin that sleeps 4. What would you do, blow up the matress each night? I can't imagine walking around that cabin during the day with either a blown up mattress OR a regular matress. Just isn't too much room.
