extra magic hours

does anyone have anymore info. on the "extra magic hours"? i am a dvc member,but buy my tickets at discount places, so am i eligible to attend the "extra magic hours" without a ticket from the resort. in other words if you don't do a package but still stay in a disney resort how do you get the wristbands?

Your room key is what gets you into the park for the extra hours. You don't have to be on a package deal, simply a resort guest to benefit.

When you check in,all members of your party recieve a room key.At the park you show them you room key and they give you a wrist band.
