Extra Magic Hours

I booked a trip for my family in november and had decided to stay in the park largely for the extra magic hours so we could take advantage of the parks before rope drop.
but there are no extra magic hours listed for our dates in MK and almost none for our stay when we switch to a hotel near epcot.
do these hours change at all?
i had been told this is one of the best reasons to stay in the park.

When are you going?

There should be EMH for your trip, not sure where you are checking but if you let us know your dates we can look.

It may be that your trip is too far out and the EMH havent been posted yet.

It used to be. They used to have a lot more EMH. They've really reduced them. Rumor was because they were going to phase them out altogether, but that hasn't happened yet.

Those usually don't change. But what will change is the regular operating hours as it gets closer. Sometimes the parks will stay open later than what's posted. There's usually a few weeks or a week or so notice about that.

we are staying in MK 11/22-11/26 and then beach club from 11/26-11/29.
i had really counted on the extra hours for MK and that's the reason i booked a hotel in the park.
i heard that the extra hour or 2 can really help with the crowds.
my kids are young so i was hoping for extra AM hours

They could change, but I doubt it. I only see morning EMH on the 27th at MK. Plus that's a holiday week, and I don't think there are a lot of EMH during a holiday week. I could be wrong though on that one.

Yeah, I see the 20th and the 27th as MK Morning EMH. Those are both Thursdays.

For your dates:

11/22 - DHS (AM)
11/23 - MK (PM)
11/24 - DHS (PM) / AK (AM)
11/25 - EP (AM)
11/26 - AK (AM)
11/27 - MK (AM)
11/28 - EP (PM)
11/29 - DHS (AM)

Usually the AM means 1hr early & the PM is 1-3hrs late. Thanksgiving day in MK is going to be very very busy. If you were to go, I would just do the morning and leave by lunch. If you have park hoppers, then try another park or just relax back at the resort. The BoardWalk is a wonderful area to just chill. Our trip is almost the same dates. (21st-30th) We are at the BWV.

The Christmas party will start in November. That cuts down the actual number of nights where MK is available to the public in the evening. There should be some morning EMH. During Thanksgiving they will likely have expanded hours in the MK anyway.

Morning EMH is always an hour. Evening is usually two.

i'm sure there are other perks of staying at a hotel in the park but i thought EMH was the biggest one.

Your post says you are staying in MK. Which hotel? There is no hotel IN the park-I am guessing you mean one of the monorail resorts?? Morning EMH is only one hour early and usually only Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are open.

staying on the contemporary sat-wed, then the beach club wed-sat. i plan to do epcot or DHS on thanksgiving day as i figured MK would be very crowded. i hear it's not a good time to go because it's so crowded t-giving week but it's the only week that worked for me
