Hi

I have been told that you have to pay extra for the extended hours (Extra Magic Hours is that what it is called?) at the parks. Some friends of ours went last year and folk who had paid for the extra hours were given wristbands and everyone else was not allowed on the rides etc.

Is this true or has he got the wrong end of the stick?

We are stopping at Port Orleans and have a 14 day ticket through Virgin for the parks.

Thanks

You don't have to pay for EMH, they are for people staying at Disney hotels, so you will be allowed in. :)

You jsut need your resort room keys for proof. :)

Thanks Newbie error just read the other post on here. As a great man once said Doooohhhh

Hi,

Someone has given you the wrong information. Did you mean to say your are staying at Port Orleans? If so, that is a Disney Resort and one of your perks is that you get the EMH. You cannot buy, sell or trade this priviledge, but if you are indeed staying at a Disney Resort the perk is yours to use. :goodvibes

They used to give wrist bands out, but now they just check the resort ID card. Make sure that you have yours on you (you will anyway for park access, unless you ordered your tickets separately). They are extremely vigilant in checking resort ID for everyone, including young children and you have to show this ID before getting access to any rides or shows.

Please feel free to ask whatever you need to if this doesn't make sense to you. Sounds like you have a cool trip planned - I like your choice of resort ;)

ETA: I see we all posted at the same time, lol.

Maybe your friends were at one of the 'after hours' hard ticketed parties, like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, hence they paid to stay longer and got the wristbands that way?
What time of the year were they there?

:goodvibes
