Extra Magic Hours

I'm confused about this... I know since we are staying in a resort that we can enter the parks an hour early. Do we get the magic hours simply because we're staying in a resort? I saw some magic hours are extended to midnight in certain parks on certain days. Can we take advantage of them? Or do we have to pay extra? Our travel agent never mentioned them. I emailed her but haven't heard back. So I was wondering if you guys can help me out.

Yes, all you need is a room key from a Disney resort.....

I see by your ticker that you are going in 3 months. The park hours are posted online. Go to disneyworld.com and point on PARKS then (for example) click Magic Kingdom. Then on the left click CALENDAR. Then choose the month and it will list the park hours and which park has Extra Magic Hours. I like the calendar format better than the regular park hours listing format.

EMH is awesome. Especially MK when it stays open late. Barely no lines!
