Extra Magic Hours - Yay or Nay?

We've always done evenings and never mornings. And, it's worked out well. We can walk on any ride. However, this last trip we decided to try MK morning. The wait for Space Mountain was at its longest at that time of day. They don't open all of the park, just Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. So, it was very congested. Not a good choice.

And, this past trip, we found that evenings were no better. Horribly busy.

The last time we went was during the summer. It was late August so the crowds weren’t extremely bad but there was always a wait for something. The EMH parks were always bad and the lines for the busses were a great indicator. You could always tell which park had EMH buy the ling line at the bus stop.

last time I went to WDW was on Christmas 2004.... I remember we used EMH... but I don't know if something has changed... we used them a lot... specially because my dad was an obsessive planner and wanted to use all the hours we had :)

I'm a firm believer in morning EMH at all parks except MK. Of the attractions at MK open in a morning EMH, SM is the only one I (and my family) want to ride. Evidently a lot of other guests feel that way too.

At the other parks, I have had great luck with morning EMH, even during fairly busy holiday times.

Evening EMH is a mixed bag. I was a Bawb disciple on staying late into the night (early morning) at MK but never had much luck at the other parks because they closed "too soon" to drive out the sane people.

We've done some evening EMH but not morning ones - we just avoid those parks. I remember one EMH evening at DHS...Great Movie Ride had a really long line...walked right onto to everything else. The park wasn't crowded either. I still don't get it. :confused3

I try not to go to the EMH park during the day...however I do go to the evening EMH park after it closes for regular hours.

it seems that for either EMH enough folk with out park hopper option want to be at that park for obvious reasons. However i find that after the regular hour crowds clear the evening EMh are very comfortable

so nay mornings yay evenings.
