Extra Magic Hours... scam ? fair ?

I think they should have some sort of portable scanner like Ticketmaster has. When you purchase your tickets it has a barcode on it. When you go to the event, they scan the ticket and give you the ticket back. They could scan your room key and give you your writstband. So, if you turned around and gave it to your offsite friend, then the room would already be in the system and another band would not be issued. If you "lost" your wristband, then you would have to show your ID and Park Ticket and Hotel Key to get another wristband. Sounds simple, huh. I think unless they have some sort of scanning device in place, dishonest people are going to do dishonest things.

I don't think it would be very easy for a non-resort guest to get a wristband. Everytime I got one, a cast member physically put the wristband on me. They are very difficult to remove without damaging, so I don't think it's easy to transfer them to someone else. However, I guess someone who is determined enough will find a way.
