Hello, we are staying off site and was wondering for Epcot's world showcase extra magic hours at night if we could still stay just to walk around the showcase or if we had to leave at 9 pm. I know we can't ride any attractions because we aren't a resort guest. This is our first visit staying off site. I know the world showcase is open till 11 pm on EMH night and wanted to know if they make you leave or can you still walk around but not ride anything. We have 15 days left and I'm trying to make a schedule for us. Thank you!!

You can shop, dine, walk around, sit and people watch - basically anything but go on the attractions.

You can do all this, but in my opinion as you are not a resort guest, you should not be taking advantage of time that should, in technicality, only be used for people who are paying to stay on-site.

I see nothing wrong with walking around and shopping. The exits are super crowded at park closing and many people stick around to shop even on non EMH days.

It's an on site perk... It's what I pay the bigger bucks for.... Outsiders should be escorted out.... should be no attractions and no shopping too..

Regarding the morning hours, are non resort guests allowed to enter but not ride or is it just the logistics of having to remove people at night that makes it difficult?

Ok My thoughts for what they are worth

In the past I have seen CM's looking for wrist bands and escorting people out of the park, that was at the MK. I do think that if it is suppose to be a perk for those paying hte extra to stay on site then it should be reserved for them, from the benchs for a place to sit to being able to shop without the crowds.

That being said I don't think that Disney would ever frown on somebody that wanted to hand around and spend money;)

No more wristbands for EMH's,I have no problem with people just hanging around.Off Siters can't do morning EMH and evening EMH have even been shortened,it's not that big a deal to have people just hang around for those two hours and the reality is a big percentage of off siters leave anyways.

1- Regarding the morning hours, are non resort guests allowed to enter but not ride or

2- is it just the logistics of having to remove people at night that makes it difficult?

1- Nope. Only on-site guests will be allowed to enter the gates for AM EMH.

2- Yup.

yeah I mean I would like the park to myself SURE but those days are long gone, I remember when you had to pay for a special wrist band to be there after hours and only like 5000 were sold the fisrt couple of times we did it. The attractions were walk on and they wold let you stay on for multiple rides on allot of them.
I am a big boy and share quite nicely :)

If you're staying at a Disney resort, you're definitely paying for EMH.

ha ha.

For mnsshp last year I found the CMs walking hand in hand dragnetting adventure land.

It looked like they were playing 'Red-Rover' so I started chanting "Red rover red rover send the dead-beats right over!"

I got on first name basis with a couple of the managers there that night. Not getting kicked out of the park (this time) just chuckling over the logistical nightmare they accomplish every time they do a hard-ticket event.

Keep in mind WS during PM EMH isn't all that exciting. The shops and stuff are all typically closed, as are the refreshment and snack stands. There's also no entertainment going on. Its fine if you just wander around, but make sure you understand what you are getting (and not getting) in that timeframe before making any plans around this.

No. To get in the gates for morning EMH you must show your room key.

Just FYI that is a room key for every person, as I once left mine in the room thinking we could just use my husband's for anything we needed. Nope! Guess who had to run back to the room to get their KTTW card and then missed EMH that morning? Darn those slow Disney buses.:rolleyes1:rotfl:.
