Extra Magic Hours question

I have a question...when the calendar says that the hours on say December 3rd for MK are 9-8 and it is evening EMH, does that mean the EMH happen after 8 or like 7-8 is the EMH?

Likewise if the Disney calendar says AK has hours of 9-5 on December 4 and morning EMH- is the EMH from 9-10 or from 8-9?

For MK, the EMH would begin at 8pm, and the morning hours for AK would begin at 8am

The easiest way to remember is that ALL calender times are general public times

EMH is then added to that .
