Extra Magic hours Dumb ?

This is probably a silly question, but all the other times we have visted WDW we never took advantage of EMH. This time I am going alone with the kids and we will be able to do more hopping etc (as DD12 says "Dad can't hang"). If the park is open from 9-11, is 9-10am and 10-11pm the EMH or is it earlier and later than the posted times. Sorry if this has been dicussed before.

The hours published on the website are the general public hours. EMH would be before or after those times. So if it's 9am - 11pm, EMH would be 8:00-9:00 or 11:00 to 2:00.

If the park hours are listed as 9:00 am-11:00 pm the Evening EMH would be 11:00 pm-2:00am. The Morning EMH would be 8:00 am-9:00 am. There are never Morning and Evening EMH for the same park the same day. Go to www.disneyworld.com and click "parks", choose a park, then click "calendar", then click on "Extra Magic Hours" for any day and it will list the specific parks and whether they have Morning or Evening EMH. Hope that made sense.

Nope, that's not always true either.

Sometimes during busy seasons, MK (for instance) will be open and "extra" hour in the AM and close 3 hours "extra" that same evening.

So that's why you must always check the EMH list carefully.

THAT'S SWEET! We've never been during peak season. We have always been told by CMs that they "never do AM and PM EMH for the same park on the same day". Live and learn people, live and learn!
