Extra Magic Hours and pre bought tickets?

If you have a Resort ID but have already bought your tickets and are just booking a room(no tickets) can you still use the EMH?

Anyone staying on property the day of the EVH can use it. Theycheck your room key/card that day. You just would have had to stay the night before or already have checked into your hotel before you go to the park.

I thought it was this way but the Disney Website was confusing. They said:

"If you want to take advantage of this benefit and have a Magic Your Way Base Ticket, your Theme Park selection must be the Park offering the Extra Magic Hours benefit that day. Remember, you can only visit one Theme Park per day with the Magic Your Way Base Ticket. To get the most out of the Extra Magic Hours benefit, just add the Park Hopper® Option to your ticket. Then you can go from Theme Park to Theme Park on the same day, including whichever Park has Extra Magic Hours."


I'm guessing the confusing part above was Disney's way of letting you know you needed a Park Hopper to park hop to the EMH park.

I can see how it would be confusing.

The EVH are only offered at one park at a time... but I think occasionally they may have morning hours at one park and evening hours at another. So if you don't have park hopper tickets you would have to choose which one. I think you can find out in advance which ones are when... I will try to find the site. You would want to know ahead if you can so you can plan your time and your meal reservations.

The good news is you can usually upgrade your tickets once you get there if you decide you want the park hopper later.
