Extra Magic Hour

Can anyone tell me exactly how the extra magic hours work?
Does the CM give you a bracelet when you enter the park or when the extra magic hours actually start?
What are the bracelets like? (My youngest is very bad about not keeping things on her wrist) Does the CM actually put them on your wrist? (Again my youngest child does not like things on her wrist, so I have some convincing to do) Wish me luck!!

Actually, they don't use the bracelet system anymore. When EMH begins, they just check your key to the world card before you enter each ride, so keep them handy.

Yup, and they DO check your key/card.
While we were there, we saw many people turned away while waiting in lines for rides without one. They would get so mad at the CM...but rules are rules and some people just can't follow.
