Hello!

I have a trip planned from May 8- 14th. I was wondering if the testing of the extra magic hour would have a large impact on the crowds attending Disney World during that time? What does everyone think? Thanks for responding :earsgirl:

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS LadyLuc361! :earsboy:

I really don't think it will make it any different than any other May in the past.I've been at the time you're going several trips and it's a great time to visit WDW!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Have a magical trip!!

I'll be there too !!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I guess the crowds would be the same. I know I will be resting mid-day to be primed for the evening out !!

Have a Disney Day !!

We'll be there too!!!

I am getting sooooooooooo excited!! I do think the crowds will be increased slightly but.......OH WELL, nothing can spoil the magic at the world. Especially now that we can be at MK on Wed. night for EMH!!

Can't wait!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I don't think it'll be much different because I doubt very many people jumped up and made a last minute trip down there just because it was announced. Maybe if it had been announced months in advance, but it was pretty last minute... so I think we'll just see the normal crowds, really. =)

At least i hope so since i'll be there for it, too!

Can anyone explain to me how this extra hour in the evening is going to work? Are they going to close the park and then let people back in that are staying on site?

Although the WDW web site hasn't yet updated regarding the hours, some DISers have received postcards regarding the new changes. The information is in this thread:

Hope this helps!

I may be wrong but the vast majority of the general public is probably completely unaware of this program. Even people who have already booked trips (see DH) may not know about it unless they read these boards or other online information.

Many people also rely on the official site or guide books for their info when planning. I have read some disappointed posts from people who started making their PS's at 60 days out instead of 90 because the guidebooks weren't up to date at the time of printing.

So only those C.O.D. planners (see ME) may be aware of the changes.

Except of course locals who have to work and may not go for late hours during the week anyways!

imho,
Diana
