Hi everyone. Can someone tell me if you have to pay for the extra magic hours. I will be staying onsite.

nope, no charge for using EMH. MYW (or AP) admission media is required, which means if you're going to MK for EMH and spent the day at Epcot, you'll need the park hopping option. each guest will need to show their own resort ID for the wristband

Nocharge for EMH. Disney used to have extra hours programs in the past that did require an extra payment. In fact they still do have the Christmas, Halloween, and Princess/Pirate Party programs that DO require a seperate ticket, but the regular EMH is not one of them.

You don't need to pay for hopping to take advantage of EMH, but it kind of makes sense to do so. You could go to MK all day (or part of the day) and stay for EMH at MK also.

One thing you will need to do to participate in EMH is to get a bracelet. There are multiple places in each park where you can get your EMH bracelet. In order to get the bracelet - each member of your party need to show their room key - including the kids. (Unless the kids are like under 3 and weren't issued a room key card.) They didn't used to be so strict about this, but the last time I went they were very strict about it. Disney starts distributing the EMH bracelets well before the EMH hours start. I think around 3 or 4pm. You don't have to get one then, but you can.
