Extra Magic Hour --- Feeling STOOOPID!

I looked at the official hours for the World and cannot tell if the time listed IS the Extra Magic Hour or if it is really earlier/later than what is listed...

HELP!!

For example: On August 3 & 4, 2006 for the Magic Kingdom the listed hours are 9 am -11 pm. Extra Magic Hour is listed under that time... The 3rd is a morning EMH and the 4th is an evening EMH.

Does that mean the park will be open from 9-11 for everyone (non resort guests) and open earlier on the 3rd and stay open later on the 4th? How do you know how early/late it will be open?

Times listed are regular magic hours, for all guests.

Extra magic hours come before and after the published hours.

Morning EMH lasts one hour and evening EMH usually lasts 3 hours.

The 9am opening is for the public in general, so the park on EMH days opens at 8am. 11 is the closing time for non-resort guests and the park will stay open later for resort guests. Hope that helps
