Extra Magic Hour Evening

Just a bit confused bout the extra majic hour in the evening. I know it is available to Disney (and certain selected) hotel guests only and is available at certain locations a couple of hours before park closure, but can you enter the park say half an hour before closure and still get your band? Also i thought the magic evening hours was for 2-3 hours and not just 1 hour. perhaps Im getting mixed up with the old e-ride nights.

Welcome to the DisBoards!! Yes, WDW resort guests can get extra access to different parks on different days. In the morning it is one hour early and in the evening it is three hours after closing. As I have not done an EMH in the evening yet, I'm not absolutely sure as to the timing. But, I would think that 1/2 hr. before park closing would be okay. Just as long as people realize that you do need park admission. You can not go at park closing, thinking you can get in for those extra 3 hrs. without using park admission also.

From my understanding they start distributing the wristbands 2 hours before the evening EMH starts. You can pick up the wristband anytime after that. I believe you can also enter the park after the official closing time (for the general public) as long you are a Disney resort guest. You will receive your wrist band then and be allowed to participate in the EMH.

The EMH in the evening are 3 hours. Morning is 1. That may be your confusion.
