Are guests at the park entrance going to be turned away and told to return later if they don’t qualify for the morning Extra Magic Hour? I really wouldn’t want to be the CM who tells a kid, as the other guests pass by, to return in an hour because mom and dad aren’t staying at an affiliated Disney resort.

1. Yes.
2. If guests look at the park schedules, AM EMH begins an hour before the park is posted to open.
So, guests who are not staying at a WDW Resort have no reason to get to the AM EMH park an hour early.

I’ve never seen it happen, but I’ve always assumed people were having ticket issues at the gate. It seems EMH results in attracting more people to that park; enjoyable at night however.

Majority of the people know about the EMH and how it works. When you go to a park if offsite guests are there early their normally waiting at the turnstiles to the side, usually off to the right side from what I've experienced. Then far left side turnstile is for ppo dining reservations, then 2 or 3 turnstiles to the right of the ADR line is where on site guests enter to take part in emh. So there will be a bunch of people waiting in line off to right for regular park opening.

And if a family doesn't know and tries to enter, their band will light blue and the cm will see they're not staying on site. It won't break a kids heart, they just inform the guests what EMH is and then the family will wait with the 100+ other people waiting to get in

Silly question about this. We always stay on site and technically we still are as we are staying at the Dolphin this trip. I know we will get the EMH but our resort won't be on our MB. I do have it linked on MDE. How will they know we are on site?

Nothing is on magic bands, everything is on your MDE account. You scan your magic band (if you have another) or your ticket and it'll verify you're on site

Yes guests not staying in a Disney resort will be turned away.
It's their own fault so if I were a CM I would not feel bad.

The thing is, if you arrive after the EMH opening and before the regular opening, there will be a line that you just get into. Only certain tap points will be letting the EMH guests in, and a kid is unlikely to even notice it. You'll just be waiting in the normal line with everyone else. Just don't try to enter via the clearly marked EMH entrances and it won't be an issue. There will be lots of people around, moving about and waiting in lines. It'll all blend in.

Yes, as it should be. Not the CMs fault Mom and Dad were dumb

It's been a couple of months and I'm not sure this is still happening but I went to MK a couple of mornings, I believe in September that were EMH and they were letting everyone through the tapstiles you just weren't able to ride anything before 9am if you were not staying on property. I thought that was odd cause I know the other 3 parks have a separate line

How were non-WDW guests prevented from riding anything before 9AM?

they were scanning tickets, it seemed odd, I usually avoid parks with morning EMH and those 2 days I just went without checking
