Extra Magic Evening Hours in January

I was hoping we would hear more from MousePlanet today. Oh well, maybe someone will hear something soon.

I also checked MousePlanet today and there wasn't a word about it. Has anyone e-mailed MousePlanet to see if they have more info? The rumor had to have come from somewhere, and I would hope they at least made an attempt to verify it before they posted it. But maybe not. I am new to all of this so I don't know if they usually have reliable information!

Well, extra hours or not we will see you all in January!

We were there for the test in May and, aside from the very short notice, I didn't enjoy the evening EE's at all. The parks were much more crowded for the evening EE then the morning. In MK for sure and the other parks maybe, you just needed the wristband to ride the attractions not to be in the park. It really took away from the special feeling you get being onsite.

AK was the busiest I've ever seen it in the late afternoon.

I really missed getting to MK early and having such a low crowd. If they didn't take away both morning EE at MK it wouldn't have been so bad.

Where did you have to go to pick up your wristbands the resort or in the park? If you picked ithem up in the park, did you need to show room keys for everyone in your party? I'm wondering how they'll keep offsite guest from taking advantage of EMH.

You picked the wristbands up either at the gates when you were entering for the evening or if you were already in the park there were a large number of locations where you could go and get them. Everyone in your party had to show their room key's in order to get the wristband.

Offsite guests could stay in the park if they wished but obviously are unable to go on any attractions. I did the MK evening and whilst I thought it was packed for the first hour, the crowds thinned out substantially after that though most of the bigger rides were still a 10-15 minute wait - however they were also running FP so that was a bonus and as the evening went on, the lines got better anyway :)

We were there for the test time in May and it was great!! Walked on to almost everything!!! I didn't think the crowds were larger as one poster stated....anyway I hope this becomes a regular thing!
Too bad they aren't starting it now!!

We were there for the tests in May as well. It was great, walked on nearly everything in MK. I think they should have it all the time since we do pay more to stay on property in order to enjoy the perks.

We are arriving Feb 1st - 6th and would like to know what is going on. Waiting to make the PS at the parks.

Any one have any news?

We are going January 14 - the 20th. I hope that there are extra magic hours, at least at MK and EPCOT, although I wouldn't say no to MGM. It's my stepdaughter's and my daughter's first visit to WDW and the more time the better. :wizard:

Here's to hoping all this info is true. :goodvibes
Family and I are coming down in February. Would love to show my kids MK at night. I remember Enights fondly. princess:

I hope it doesn't happen. I like the early morning hours because so many people like to sleep in. It will be hard to keep my nieces and my nephew up later in the evening.

We only can use the morning EMH as well. My little one and not so little one, really need to get to bed because they will be up at 7am no matter what!

I look at this as a good thing. More guests "trained" to stay late in the parks means fewer guests in the morning, when my little ones are riding attractions with no lines. :smooth:

It's been confirmed! Extra Magic Evening hours start 1/02/05! Each day on site guest will either have one hour early entry or 3 extra hours at night in designated park. I hope they list the days soon. This will be so great for our Feb trip. I remember e nights very fondly.....

I think if you look Disney.com sayd "Up to Three hours" So the extra evening hours may be only 1 hour or up to three.
