Extra leg room on Virgin?

Hi All,

Its probably been asked before, but does anyone know what Virgin charges for the extra leg room seats in normal economy? Can I book these when my 60 day window opens in September?

Im debating about bidding for PE, but as Im flying out on my own and meeting my friend there it doesn't make much difference being Eco/PE I dont think! xx

£35 each way IIRC. Be aware that these are usually near the Sky Cot seats, so if this bothers you, I'd save the money.

You can do it as soon as you book your flight and have the airline reference, £25 per seat each way and highly recommended if you can't get an exit seat, did it coming back on a red eye and it really made a difference. Got it booked going over in November (coming back PE, probably the last time I do it as extra leg room compared favourably and I'll pay for extra baggage as it'll work out cheaper than PE for both) you can't pick where it is on booking, but, I'm hoping to do so when the 60 day window opens. Did you know you can buy the seat next to you as well? Not sure if I'm too bothered about that on my own, but, if it was me and DD I think I would to get a row to ourselves and have our stuff to hand.

Thanks, how do I select extra leg room seats now? I must be blind but I can't see it anywhere!

I assumed I would have to wait for my 60 day seat window to open up, I dont fly until Nov 13th, So I think my seat map should become available 14th September.

you have to call VA. I fly on 3rd November and called to book extra leg room seats. There were some still available but I didn't like where they were so didn't bother! They used to have extra leg room seats in one of the 2 seat configs at the back but the lady at VA said they aren't available anymore as extra leg room. .. I'm waiting until the 60 day mark to book (hopefully) a two seat config.

We just upgraded at the airport for £25pp. Well worth it IMO.
