I have never stayed in a DVC rental before but have a Nov reservation coming up. I understand that there is only a towel/trash service once during the 7 day stay. Am I able to pay for any additional housekepeing. My kids will trash the room and there's nothing I love more than coming home to a freshly made bed after a long day!

Here is the cost if you decide to have more than the trash and towel service. I'll just add that we found we don't mind not having the daily service at all. In fact, when staying in hotels now I often put up the do not disturb so I won't get service.

Yes there is a cleaning fee you can pay to have a full cleaning. I believe it is $30 for a studio per cleaning. Additional Towel and trash service is $15 but they don't make your bed just replace/replenish towels/toiletries/coffee and take out the trash.

You can order it for any one or more days that you are there. To get the service, you should call housekeeping on your room phone. For any given day, you need to put in the order for it no later than the day before. Be aware that if you order full service for the day that you usually have the trash and towel service (the fourth day you are there and arrival date is counted as one to get to four), it will cost half that $30 price mentioned above. (We usually do that day.) If you actually want it for everyday, call when you get to your room and order it for the week. Be aware that when you make the call, you are likely to get a long, annoying speech about DVC reservations not being entitlted to daily housekeeping, and they always make the speech sound like "why are you so stupid for not knowing the rules." When that speech is over, just tell them you are aware of the rules, that you want the service anyway, and know the cost for getting it.

Note that you could try to order it before arriving through the member who rented to you, who can call Member Services and put in the order. You could also try to order it when you arrive and check-in at the front desk. Be aware, however, that I have learned through experience that somehow those requests never get to housekeeping or get to housekeeping and get lost, with the result that no one shows up to do the cleaning unless you call housekeeping to do the order. Moreover, even after calling housekeeping, you should likely call the morning of your first cleaning day to remind housekeeping of your order because its degree of competency in remembering to provide the service is quite low.

No. Trash and Towel is pretty literal. Trash out and towels replaced. They should replace toiletries, plates, coffee and things like that too.

If you're there 8 nights or more then the service is full housekeeping on Day 4 and Trash and Towel service on day 8. It will repeat from that so Full housekeeping again on day 12 and if there long enough it would be trash and towel again on day 16.

If your stay is less than 8 nights then it would just be trash and towel service on day 4.

You can always pay to have full housekeeping on any other days that you wish if you want it more frequently.

Full housekeeping includes freshly made beds, cleaned bathrooms, dishes are done, thought they occasionally miss a glass if you have one in the bathroom, and vacuuming. Basically the same cleaning as between guests. Though they may add fresh soaps and toiletries while also leaving any you have opened.

Full housekeeping service includes towel replacement, so first towel replacement is on day 4, and every 4th day thereafter for the length of your stay, alternating between trash and towel service and full housekeeping service.
