Extra Hours???

I see on the DLRP website that resort guests can enter the park up to 2 hours before the official opening time. Do you have do be on a resort package to get this benefit? We are annual passport (fantasy) holders and are thinking of booking a room only. We normally stay off site at the Marriott, but as we are planning our next trip over a weekend I would love to get a few extra hours in the park before the "locals" arrive.
Does anyone have any experience with this?

As long as you're staying in an onsite Disney hotel you'll qualify for EMH as far as I'm aware. You just have to show your hotel ID at the entrence.

Thats right, it can be booked on room only or package, its the hotel ID that gives you access to EMH, not your park tickets. EMH is every day in October and December, but not every day in November, and not every day from the start of next year either.
But, if you are Dream AP holders, you're entitled to go into the park for EMH no matter which hotel you are staying at (onsite or offsite).

There are 3 ways of qualifying for the EMH that I know of:

1) Book a package with tickets and Disney hotel.

2) Be staying in a Disney hotel.

3) Hold a 'Dream' Annual pass.

You'll get your pass when you check into your Disney hotel. SO you'll be allowed in EMH no problems.

That is amazing, you have the whole of the park to yourself! I'm hoping that we have enough money to buy Dream passes each so that we can have the EMH too.

It was so surreal!! No body else seemed to bother that morning. I was running up and down Main Street ike a lunatic!!!! We had like 10 minutes before other people even appeared!!
