Extra Hour at EPCOT Future World!

I'm waiting for the Baron to protest your heading---after all this isn't an "extra" hour at all, just restoring a portion of what was wrongfully taken away before!

The delayed opening of WS never really bothered me, but they really should go ahead and leave FW open until 9.

Adding is always better than taking away or doing nothing...

But Dancing Bear is right... this is just restoring the hour that was taken away in the last year or so. And of course, 2 more hours had been taken away before that, and....

With M:S opening, I had actually hoped that it, along with TT, would be enough for Disney to justify restoring the 9pm closing for FW...

Maybe someday...

They need that extra hour so everyone riding M:S will have time to go throw up before heading back to the resort:jester:

(just kidding!!!!)

Let's examine this logically using, for example, the plight of a $7 an hour clerk at Blockbuster. If the clerk's $7 hourly wage was changed by his supervisor to $5 (forget minimum wage this is just theoretical), you'd say he/she was cut $2. If the supervisor then changed the clerk's hourly wage to $6, would you then say he/she got a raise or an extra dollar? Or would you say the clerk was just getting back 1 of his original dollars?

All depends on how you want to look at it.

Actually, in a good economy the clerk probably would have quit after his pay was cut. But then perhaps WDW would have never cut the hours either.

Of course, another common business practice is for an employer to tell his employees that times are tough, we have to make some cuts- no overtime, no pay raises and sometimes pay cuts (Delta ??) but we will survive these hard times and if you stick with us we'll make it up to you.

>>>>I'd say however you frame it, that clerk's one dollar an hour richer than he was when he woke up that morning...and I doubt he'll decline it simply because he used to make more.<<<<

Excuse me, but that was not one of the options!

It's truly annoying when I carefully set up a scenario and then someone comes along and goes their own way. Sheeeesh!

Just kidding and all in good fun.

Yeah, but how often does the company deliver? Few and far between...

I'd say however you frame it, that clerk's one dollar an hour richer than he was when he woke up that morning...and I doubt he'll decline it simply because he used to make more.
Nobody said anything about declining it. Just keeping things in perspective, which can be a tough job around here...;)
