What do you recommend?

I need a really extra heavy duty rust remover.

I have tried Lysol Basin Tub & Tile Cleaner - didn't touch it.

Also The Works bathroom cleaner - didn't "work" either.

DH found some Whink rust remover in the garage so I tried that, with thick heavy duty rubber gloves. Even that didn't work.

I'm getting frustrated.

The Works Toilet Bowl Cleaner (not the bathroom cleaner) -- but use it very, very carefully.

Greased Lightning. It's supposed to be for cleaning your kitchen counters, but this stuff removes dried on paint so it's worth a try.

At Walmart in the automotive department look for a product called Revive A Drive. This removes rust.

I also read when Tang drink mix removes rust and I tried it on my porch. I had so rust from a chain that held up our swing and it worked. I wet the spot then poured a good amt of Tang on the spot let it set for several hours and scrubbed with a stiff brush. It removed it.
