Extra Flight on Itinerary?

So I did what was suggested and signed up with Air Canada so I could keep an eye on our flight. I was confused when I saw an extra flight on our itinerary, so I signed up with United Airlines as well (They're the ones servicing the flight) and they have the same flight on there as well.

So for our return day we have the regular flight we booked through the agency, which has us leaving Orange County at 8am, then we fly into San Fran with a layover, and then on to Calgary arriving around 3pm. Well there is a flight listed on the itinerary for the same Saturday, but leaving San Fran at 7:55 am and arriving in Calgary just before noon. I am confused as it is not a connection flight, just a random flight from San Fran to Calgary and not at a time that we're suppose to be traveling. Has anyone ever encountered this?

I am confused as to why there are two different flights for out trip home, but one isn't even close to where we are and was never an option we booked. So to clarify it has our original booking of going from SNA to SFO and then on to YYC, but also has this random SFO to YYC flight. I'm thinking the kid who booked our travel may have screwed up (we booked through our school's travel agency, which is run by students). When I look at the view trip site, that the company the school booked us through gave us, there is no listing of this extra flight, so I have no idea why AC and United have it listed. I plan on asking the school agency if they can find out from the booking agency, why we have an extra flight and if we were charged for it.
