Lines are MFSR is down too 105mins, and many parks were not busy today by looking at the wait times I'm concerned that EEMH might be cut/reduced since turnout doesn't appear to be what WDW might have expected? Our trip is end of Oct.

As for the wait time, The extra hours are doing exactly what they’re intended to do...spread out the crowds, simplify park operations. Very very few people are getting to a park at 6 or 7 AM and going wire to wire. Hence the lower crowds now.

As to the EEMH concern, let’s see what happens the next two days when everyone who did DHS RD today wants to go to another park. I think waits will be low but I doubt that we’ll see on a regular basis things like the 10 minute 7DMT wait that we saw for most of EEMH today.

I’m in the minority it seems but I loathe these incredibly early hours and would much rather be up until 3 am. Getting up at 4 am is decidedly not vacation-y to me, but I will be one day and hoping my love of Star Wars propels me through.
By nature we aren't early risers either, but we hope to take advantage of EEMH then go back to the room and relax before coming back for the evening. I'm with you; I'd much rather still be up at 2 am than get up at 4 am.

Day 1 line update: It’s 7:25. The posted wait for 7DMT is 15 minutes. For FOP it’s 45 minutes.
Day 2 7:30AM: FOP 60, 7DMT 20, meet Mickey at AK&MK both 20, everything else 10 or less.

Somewhat larger crowds than yesterday, more like a really quiet EMH than what was essentially a free EMM yesterday.

Does the safari open later on EMH days? It's posting a wait time now, but wasn't until a few minutes ago.

I don't think you're in the minority (maybe on Disney-obsessed boards like this, but not to the average WDW goer). The way you feel is the point of EEMH - it'll spread the crowds out all day because the majority of people do not want to wake up by 4am on vacation. If they did evening EEMH till 3am, more people would probably go and the crowds wouldn't be as spread out.

I'm the opposite you, I wake up every day before 5am anyway, but fall asleep around 10pm, so a 4am wakeup is normal for me.

Just want to add that with the Hurricane barreling down on FL. people are cancelling their trip in droves. Reports in other threads have people waiting hours to cancel by phone. I think Floridians near and far to Orlando are also not playing a big role in attendance as they are also preparing for Dorian. I think a better judge of how timing for EEMH will be when the storm and clean up have past. Maybe 2-3 weeks depending on how hard Orlando is hit.

I absolutely hate these early hours and am annoyed Disney has chosen to tack on hours at the beginning of the day instead of the end, but it is what it is so we’ll be up bright and early for them. :headache:

Flight of Passage has 130 minute wait. Normal, but Smugglers Run only has a 110 minute wait. Weird to me that it would have a shorter wait than FOP.

It's just because more people can stay up late.

I think Smugglers Run has somewhat higher capacity, plus no FP, plus there’s fewer thrill rides at AK. I wouldn’t have expected it on day two either, but I don’t think it’s totally shocking.
