We're getting married Oct. 25th, and its an early wedding/reception, ending around 6pm. I was thinking about flying out that night and staying at the Poly, but the land/sea package doesn't start until the 26th..if we check in at Poly that night would we have to check out and check back in again (kind of silly, but I'm not sure) and would we get our passes that night, or have to wait?

You would need to make a ressie for the Poly for the day before your package starts. Your passes would not be valid until the next day so you would also need to add a Length of Stay pass to your KTTWC for the one day. I believe, Depending on your check in day, that you can check into the DCL Rep desk on your first day to get the cruise check in started.

Make sure when you make your seperate Ressie for the Poly that you mention the Land Sea and have them Link them together.

People have added days to their Land and Sea but they can be expensive. Sometimes a seperate Ressie is the best way to go.

We added a day on the front of our 4 land/3 sea trip this June and got lucky. Evidently the DCL buses only run on certain days (the days that people would normally be arriving for the land/sea trips). If you add a day and the buses dont run on those days I believe they give you a voucher for Mears transfortation, and you will have to handle you rown luggage then. So if that is at all important to you, i suggest asking about it.

If you arranged the air yourself without booking through Disney, why not fly into Orlando and spend the night near the airport? That will get you to Orlando earlier than planned, and you could wake up the next morning, check your luggage, and catch the first bus to WDW. It will save you a few $$$!

Hi, this is my first post! I've been reading the boards daily for quite some time now, this is such a wonderful site! We are also doing a land/sea (Poly) - Sept 26. Because we are flying in from Vancouver, we thought we would fly one day earlier and stay at the Howard Johnston near the airport ( it was going to cost ALOT more to stay that night at the Poly!) I've been trying to decide what to do re transportation to WDW the next morning. Should we buy the Disney transportation package - and then I guess we have to go back to the airport in the am to catch the bus? Or just book Mears transportation? And then how to get from WDW to the port and then to the airport?
