Extra day at MK--WWYD?

So, we have an extra park hopper day on our tickets, and have also extended our trip by one day on the front end because we ended up having to fly and could only get tickets the day before we originally planned on arriving. So, here's the scenario: we get into POFQ around 6 pm on Saturday. Sunday, the rest of our family is flying in, and we're going to MNSSHP. We weren't planning on using that park hopper that day. (It was a throwaway--4 & 5 days the same price.)

So, when I added our extra day, I thought we could arrive at the hotel, chill out, maybe get some dinner at DTD, do the campfire--very low key. Then, we'd get up, make rope drop and book it to A&E, and head to a few other princess M&Gs that I was able to get FP for. Then, rest at the hotel for a bit, before heading back for the party with the rest of our family.

Now, I'm noticing that EMH are Saturday night at the MK, and I'm wondering if we'd be better using our ticket to do night at MK, and then sleep in and laze around the pool on Sunday before MNSSHP.

Of ultimate importance is seeing A&E. (5 year old daughter in tow!)

Disney vets, what would you do?

I'd imagine that your 5 year old would probably do better getting up early than staying up super late... so that would make me lean towards the rope drop rush to A&E.

I would probably do the Sunday morning. A Sat night with EMH is going to be a lot more crowded than a party morning, and if your flight gets delayed on Sat that would also mess up your plans. On Sun morning I would just take it easy, rope drop A&E (if you can't get FP), use your FPs and then take a break/nap before the party.

I agree with the others you are going to get way more done in the first couple hours after the park opens then you are on a Saturday night EMH. Spend a couple hours in the park, go back to your resort for lunch, swim and a nap and you'll be refreshed for the party and ready for the late night!

Thanks everyone! I hadn't planned on Saturday night EMH being really crowded, nor the morning of a party day being calm, so that definitely makes my decision!
