We are trying to decide between an extra day at Disneyland or taking the VIP tour at Warner Bros. We've been to DL a handful of times but have never taken a studio tour. The price is about the same. I guess I'm leaning toward the studio tour but then I need to find something to do for the remainder of he day. Thanks!

How many days do you have at DL, plenty for the crowds and new attractions?

If so, do something else in the area that is a good idea. You could stop in Hollywood on the way back, Griffin Park, La Brea Tar Pits, drive roundabout and come back laong the coast in Malibu.

Will you be going to Warner bros as part of a larger tour from Anaheim or making your own way? We are doing the Warner bros VIP tour in May but in order to make the most of the day are getting a shuttle from Anaheim which stops for a couple of hours in Hollywood on the way back from the studios so we can fill the day around the 3 hour tour! There's lots to see around that area to make the most of your visit. I was at warner bros for a shoot in January and was so impressed i'm going back for the VIP tour so i'd say definitely give it a go! :goodvibes Also if you are driving be sure to head a little way down the road past warner bros and drive past the Disney studios, you cant go in unless accompanied by a castmember or employee but its nice to see :thumbsup2

I'd do a studio your, but I'd take Universal Studios over Warner Brothers. It has a much better studio tour. People often overlook that Universal Studios is a studio tour because it also has theme park attractions, but make no mistake it's a real studio tour. And, when your done, you have a theme park to go to.

We have done the UHS VIP tour a few times but this year i am trying to scope out the Adventures by Disney Tour of the Burbank studios. I love USH tour because I am a bit of an old movie(monstermovie fan).
Have fun for what ever you decide.

Can you tell me what company you are using for this tour that includes Warner and Hollywood? I've been looking at Grayline from Anaheim and they don't seem to offer this. Thanks!

Hope OP doesnt mind if I ask this....

I have the US VIP tour booked for my DD age 20 and self for July. Would love to hear your opinion on this tour. We are really looking forward to it and have not found many reviews on it. Thanks !!!

Since you've been to Disneyland a few times, definitely go for the Warner Bros VIP Tour. We did it back in 2009 and it was totally worth it (we even got to see the shooting of a scene from Valentine's Day).

As far as the rest of the day is concern, there's not much to do in Burbank, where the studio tour is located. As suggested before, head to Hollywood for the rest of the day!

We have booked with anaheim411, they charge $39 shuttle to Hollywood return then you can add on the warner bros tour for the extra $50 and it includes a shuttle up to Burbank. We are going in May so will see how it goes! :thumbsup2

Not sure how good the adventures by Disney tour is (I would guess though its probably great :) ) but the Burbank studios is definitely worth doing in my opinion! I went with my castmember friend in January, pictures in my TR and it was so inspiring to see such a classic Disney establishment, I loved how much of a working studio it is, i'd go back any day!

When are you going?
Just that I did the WB studio tour at the end of May 2010 and there weren't many shows still filming so we didn't see much action I guess you'd say.
We got to go on the set of Friends Central Perk which was fantastic, and through Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls also Lorelai & Sooki's house fronts. The Harry Potter display in the Museum is really good, you can even put on the 'Sorting Hat' and be put in your house! We walked through the set of the Mentalist as well plus drove past heaps of other classic movie sets and streets, it was a really great tour.
My sister did it again in Dec 2010 and she got to see a bit more due to the filming times, I remember she got to go on the set of Two and a Half Men!

Meant to add that we just drove ourselves there and then spent the afternoon/evening in Disneyland :)
