We will have the DDP again on our next trip, but this time DS wants to spend more time at the Kid's Clubs and DH and I get to have a few "dates". We'll end up with a few extra child TS credits and was wondering if you all had any ideas what to do with them...? If we lose them, it's okay. I'm not keen on paying OOP for DH and I for an extra TS meal so we can use up DS's credits (although we may use them at Beaches and Cream) so we'll probably lose 3 of his credits, but I'd love any suggestions.

Can we use 2 of them for kid's meals in room service?

TIA!

Yes, you can use your child's TS meal credits for room service if your resort has room service. This is new for 2007, so I don't know if anyone's done it yet. I believe it will cost you 2 TS credits for each 1 meal, but at least they wouldn't be wasted. Maybe for breakfast, or a late night snack for the family to share?

If you'll have an odd # left (you said 3), you'll either have to pay OOP for him at one more TS meal (to save the extra credits for the room service meal) or just let it go. Either option is better/more economical than squeezing in more TS meals (that you and dh have to pay OOP for) just to use up ds's credits.

Have a great time on your dates!

My kids LIVE for room service. I think it would be soooooo cool :cool2: to order a room service breakfast on your departure day or a day when you are not hitting the parks first thing in the AM.

We'll have 2 extra child TS because the kids will be at Neverland Club one night. I wish you could use this for part of the cost even if it was only good for 1 hour. It would save $11 per child.

We're tentatively planning on a night out sans kids, and I think what I'll do is use their credits for them to have lunch at Sci-Fi. My dh doesn't really care to go back there, but my dd is dying to, so the kids and I will do a morning at MGM while dh sleeps in, then have a quick kids' lunch at Sci Fi before meeting up with dh. I'll order their meals with their credits, and maybe pay OOP for something small for me (appy, salad or maybe a shake or sundae, depending on my mood). Then when dh and I have (CS) lunch, I'll let them have a snack or share one of the desserts or something.

There are several restaurants where you could use this plan (as long as the other parent doesn't want to go or also pays OOP), such as 50's PTC, WCC, actually, almost anywhere except buffets and family style restaurants. I was just trying to think of places that are more fun for kids, so it's more about the entertainment than just the meal.

We were trying to decide which of these to go to anyway. So maybe we'll do one for dinner and at the other we'll use the kids TS and pay for one meal OOP to split for lunch.
Thanks for that idea :thumbsup2
Now which to do & when. Hmmmm another dilemma.

Thanks for the ideas! I'm thinking we may use two of them as room service and then Beaches and Cream. DH and I can just suffer and have sundaes OOP while DS has his meal and ice cream...:rotfl:

I asked the CM at WDW-DINE when I called for my ADR's. She suggested we use them for ourselves. I guess she doesn't realize that's not possible this year. ;)

Because we arrived at dinner time last time we had TS for that night and didn't need it . We used it to book a breakfast.
