Extra Charge in Packages - SOLVED!

I think we have solved the mystery of the packages costing more than we thought they should. Thanks to Len Testa for his review of MYW Dining!! Did any of us realize they are taxing the dining plan at the resort tax rate? I certainly didn't know that! It is NOT $35 for adults and $10 for kids. That is the price BEFORE tax! Len gave the figures of $39.03 per day for adults, $11.15 per day for kids. I am almost positive that's where the difference in price for my package is coming from because the amount was $64 that I couldn't identify. No wonder tax is included for your meals on the plan - you've already paid it!!

Great work! It sounds like it was just eating away at you. $35 per day sounds a little easier to swallow (pardon the pun) than $39 and change. Though I will still keep my plan cause I like this bundled up and have it all paid before I go. Even at $11 its a good deal to feed a child. Snacks in one day can add to more than that.

We will still do the plan because we will still save money. And I am sure somewhere in some microscopic print it does say you have to pay tax on the dining plan. But we couldn't figure out why the packages were adding up to more than the total of each "part". Now we know!
