Is there an extra charge for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween at Magic Kingdom? We are planning on staying onsite and buying park hopper tickets, but I see that some people say there's a charge for the Halloween events. Can anyone explain this to me? We are hoping to visit WDW during late October or early November and I'm wondering how the park tickets might be affected by extra Halloween events. THANKS!

Yes, there is a charge. Unfortunately, I don't know the amount. You first have to have park admission and then another ticket for MNSSHP.

its around 35 dollars plus tax for adults and 25 or so for kids 3 and older
under 3 is free.... it is well worth the price the parks are basically empty you can go trick or treating they do all sorts of special things for the kids they can dress up in halloween costumes theres an awesome nighttime parade complete with the headless horseman

the halloween party is my favorite time of year to go to disney because it seems so festive and its not as crowded as it is around christmas...

Thanks for the ultra-quick replies! So ... if my family is already in Magic Kingdom on one of the Halloween event nights, do they close the park and make all people leave or something? I want to be able to go to the parks at night, but don't want to pay all the extra money each night? My son's favorite holiday is Halloween, and he's five ... so we want to try the scary-thing once, I'd say. Any suggestions?

As the other posters mentioned, you need to buy a special ticket to get into MNSSHP. In the afternoon (I think 4:00) you can turn your party ticket in for a wristband.

I don't think they necessarily close the park, but they heard the people for the party through one side of the park and have the other guests leave.

We've been to the party twice and really enjoyed it, you'll have a great time. My favorite holiday is Halloween too!

they only have the party on specific nights.... they do close the park for about a half hour or an hour i cant really remember... everyone is hearded out of the park so they can finish settin everything up then they reopen for people who have bought a ticket to the party you will needed to buy this in advance as the parties tend to sell out very fast as you get towards august and september which i think is when they go on sale. I would suggest just going one time then the other nights find something else to do like go to disney quest or cirque du soliel....

If you want to go to the party then buy the tickets. Wait until after 4 PM to go to MK and you won't have to use a day of your regular park tickets. If you go before that then you would use a day of your park tickets and still have to pay to attend the party.

It's fun going for the Halloween party. Schedule that day at your resort lounging around the pool or DTD and save that day on your ticket for something else.
