Extra bun

After a disappointing experience, thus less-than-satisfying meal at Garden Grill last December, we stopped by the food court at ASMu to split a double cheeseburger. We asked for another bun and they gladly gave us another one and when we went to pay, the person at the register said that she had no clue how to ring up an extra bun so she just gave it to us. I think that happens often, but I've heard that they officially cost around $ .30. However that was a year or two ago, so they may have gone up, but I can't imagine that they would be more than $ .50.

I remember seeing a post a couple of weeks ago about someone saying they were charged a couple of bucks for an extra bun. My advice, just cut the double burger in half and each of you take a half.

Yeah I recall someone saying it was $3 for an extra bun in MK.

I guess too many were taking advantage of this.

Most people said just cut the burger in half, but I think that can be a hassle with two kids.
(His half is bigger than mine etc...)

Some people bring their own buns (and got flamed for saying it in that thread is I recall correctly).

If your bringing stuff for the kids anyway this may be an option.

This used to happen to us all the time! Now one kid cuts, the other chooses their half first. Never seen such precision cutting by a pair of under 10 year olds.

From what I have heard the price in most CS where this is common (inside theme parks) has gone up to two or three dollars per bun.

Don't see why ltex's solution wouldn't work rather than buying or carrying around buns unless a kid won't eat half a burger.

Some places have charged nothing. Others have cost me from 80 cents and Electric umbrella wanted $2 . I said to keep it and one kid cut it and the other got to choose which half he/she wanted first.

a half a double burger is so not the same! not nearly enough room for topping. Plus, i really don't care for a double, just want a single :rotfl2:

hey, if it helps someones budget to order a second bun, i say go for it. Doesn't hurt me and who am I to judge :confused3

$2 or $3 is still cheaper than a second meal. :woohoo:

I know the purpose of an extra bun is to avoid purchasing two burgers....they will make you a single burger if you ask. Many times I didn't want a double burger and they were able to charge me for a single burger. Just get two singles.

if i order a double burger and an extra bun, i can have 2 whole burgers for the price of one burger and a bun. :)
