Hi Everybody

My mom is coming with the three of us for a week. It will be myself, my 11 year old DD and 14 yr. old DS. My mom prefers sleeping alone. I would like to order a cot or something from the hotel for one of the kids, but worry about adding to our cost. I am already ordering a fridge. Anyways, my question is: what do they charge at All star sports for a roll away bed. Or do any of you have any ideas. Would a blow up mattress fit in the room?

We spent one night at the All Stars in 2000 and I am not sure where you would put a cot in that room. Also, I am not sure that the All Stars have cots available. Their rooms only allow for 4 people (and I know that you will only have 4), but if they allowed a cot then some families would probably try to get 5 in that room which would be a problem for their fire and safety codes.

I would just call them and ask.

I don't think Disney does rollaway beds at AS. You may want to see if POR has anything available. I believe that they have a 3rd bed in the rooms that hold 5.

Wendell..........I am doing the same as you. My mom, my 11 and 14 yo ds's. I am hoping to bring an air mattress with me for my older son. That way my mom can have one bed and my younger son will sleep with me in the other bed. Has anyone ever brought an air mattress with them to the all stars?

I have no idea where one would put a roll away or inflatable mattress. I don't think there is enough room.

I have 7 and 11 yr old boys and when we stayed at the AS Sports and wanted to give them a little room to play/eat as they watched tv...we took each bed and just pushed them over against the walls, which created quite a bit of space in the middle. I'm not familiar with what would be a small sized air mattress but what might be better and would fit for sure is just taking two good quality sleeping bags and an extra pillow. We were on vacation for a total of 12 nights and (as brothers do!!) some nights the boys would get into their little "tiffs" and so one would sleep on the floor w/no complaints. We had plenty of room even with a fridge, cooler, lots of groceries and a coffee maker!! Have fun!!

While there wouldn't be room for a double or queen air mattress, there is certainly room for a single. Just pick it up and prop it against a wall during the day to get your floor space back. Alternatively, just use one of those egg crate pads to cushion a sleeping bag and roll up the whole thing during the day.

We took our air matress when we stayed at the AS Movies. just put in on the floor between the bed and the door, and during the day proped it against the wall. I have my 15 year old DS and his friend and they didnt want to sleep in the same bed. So i told the desk that is what we were doing so they didnt think we had an extra person in the room.
it was fine.:bounce:

You could also just slip the air mattress under the bed during the day. There is plenty of room.
