Hi everyone! Quick question. We purchased the special 4 day DVC ticket around Christmas. My DS friend was going with us on spring break. Well report cards have come out and that friend is no longer coming. Is the ticket transferable? Can I sell it? It is already linked My Disney experience but says it can be reassigned. I hate I wasted $200. We all have annual passes. Any advice?

Hold onto it. We had two day tickets as part of the package, that we never used, and were able to transfer them to others in our family. The two day tickets have good value as the cost per day decreases the more days that you go. This means that if you want to go to the parks for five days, in the future, you can apply the value of that un-used ticket, and your overall cost will be substantially less. You may have to bridge the ticket-see cheshirefigment's page on the details of that....he's the ticket guru.

They have to be used by May 2015, IIRC.

I edited the rest of my post because others seem to have more accurate info.

Disney has refunded these tickets for other people who's plans changed. Give them a call.

I would call and ask. These tickets had a specific use date, so they aren't like package tickets. I think I read on another thread that someone was given a credit for theirs, to be used at a later date. I would sure call and ask. The worst they could say is no. If they don't offer a credit, I think there is a way to link to someone's mde and transfer it to them. Someone on the theme parks board may be able to tell you how to do that. I'd call Disney first though.

I also read that someone was given a refund. Good luck and keep us posted.

At the very least I'd feel certain they would allow the price to be applied to a future purchase.

Oh ugh. I hate when people make trips *with other families* dependent on grades. Just about flipped when my aunt told me they had dangled a visit with my son over her grandson's head to get him to have a better school attitude. It didn't work, of course. But my aunt wasn't about to disappoint MY son, so they had to scramble to give him other opportunities to succeed and get the trip back. The trip should never have been used as the "carrot" to begin with. (family trip, sure, do what'cha gotta do, but not when it involves other people, IMO)

Sorry to derail. Just feel superbad for your son.
