My son turns 14 on Monday. Since it is such a beautiful weekend and we knew we were getting him new roller blades for a gift, we took him out shopping (I would of gotten them myself but with his feet growing so quickly, I didn't want to mess up on the size!
) Luck must of been with us today, because not only was there a 25% off coupon for Sports Authority in the newspaper, when we got to the store, the pair he liked was on clearance, down to $59 from $99!!
Take off another $15 for the coupon.
Here's where the warranty comes into play. The salesman tells me about the year long extended warranty. At first, I wasn't too interested BUT when he told me that it evens covers if the skates NO LONGER FIT!!
I asked again, almost in shock, that when my son outgrows these, I can replace them....he said what they do is send you a voucher for the cost of the skates...you can then bring that back to the store and get whatever you want...you are not obligated to get another pair of skates if you don't want!!!
I have never heard of a warranty like this! I even asked the store manager who confirmed the process.
It is the best $9.99 I have EVER spent!! I have no doubt that my son's feet (unfortunately!!) are not done growing!!
