Extinct Disney foods that I truly miss

We loved the french toast loaf in the MS Bakery, it was our traditional MK breakfast.
There used to be an entree at Kona that was called Tuna Oscar, it was grilled tuna on a bed of fried green tomatoes, with hollandaise and crab meat. It was so delicious!!

I miss the stuffed cream cheese French toast at CRT, not this weirdo muffin coffee cake like thing that they have now.....and then the all you can eat of it!

Then I loved getting the pineapple/vanilla swirl at Aloha Isle, then the Orange/Vanilla at Sunshine Tree Terrace, and then The Strawberry/Vanilla at the place across from Cosmic Ray's that somebody already mentioned....

and TUSKER HOUSE CS SO YUMMMMMMMYYYYY My favorite was the chicken salad (same size as the one on Sunset in HS) it was DELICIOUS...

but at Ohana, I always will miss the simple dessert, pineapple and caramel my FAV, and perfect for after stuffing your face with all the meats haha

The original berry and whipped mousse dessert from San Angel Inn. It was served in a tall glass, and was incredibly light and creamy.

The pineapple/vanilla swirl pour it yourself at Captain Cooks. I thought I was good when I mounded it 6" high over the bowl, only to be shocked to see a guy go over a foot higher than the bowl. When I remarked about his skill, he confessed he worked at Dairy Queen part time.

The entire menu at Akershus when it was actually a Scandinavian restaurant. It was almost as good as Aquavit in NYC, but it was way too authentic so they had to dumb down the menu.

Thiiiiiiiis. I miss it so much. Back when it first opened it was a Scandinavian buffet and the selection was fabulous. Lefse, mashed rutabega, smoked fish...

Oh, the pork shank from Gaston's. At least we have the memories!

DD has been lamenting the loss of the fake cheese sauce from Cosmic Ray's and other places. And she is also sad that the escargot served at F&W is no longer served in those little garlic butter bread bowls.

Some of the items mentioned in this thread I was not aware had gone. Namely the waffle fries from the Outpost, that cream cheese French toast from CRT, and the spicy chicken waffle sandwich which I never even tried yet. And the make your own pretzels at Goofy's?

I miss the scallops at Cookes of Dublin! We used to go there a couple of times each trip, and it's the one food I would think about all year! I was so sad when they took them off the menu...

Count me with those who miss the amazing fettucine alfredo from Alfredo's...I'm still not over that loss! I've tried making it at home but it's just never the same! That's was a bowl of Heaven on Earth! I also miss a lot of the menu from the Main Street Bakery (the best croissant breakfast sandwich ever!!)

Thankfully there are always new menu items popping up and new restaurants opening to become my new favourites!

The loss of the pineapple and caramel is why I am not really interested in going back to Ohana for dinner. The pineapple made it so you didnt feel as stuffed as you should have after eating all that food.

The fabulous Scandinavian smorgasbord (cold and hot, with authentic cuisine) at Akershus before they turned it into a Princess buffet with a horribly dumbed down menu.

I really miss Flagler's. In particular, I miss the alligator they used to have there.

The potato-wrapped snapper at Flying Fish will be missed next year, but I'm sure the new menu options will make up for it.

There used to be a great Chateaubriand at Yachtsman Steakhouse, which seemed to disappear maybe 5-6 years ago.

Does anyone remember the Boston Cod at Liberty Tree Tavern? The recipe for it is in one of the old Disney cookbooks. I actually made it a few weeks ago

I remember loving San Angel years and ago. Something definitely changed, tried it twice in the past several years. I won't go back again.

The topping bar at Tortuga Tavern.

Not sure why I miss it but I remember McDonald's fries in a little shack in Frontierland. We'd always stop there.

I remember we were at MK in December 2000, and it was freezing! Literally. We bought some McDonald's fries from a food cart near Splash Mountain if I remember correctly. Those were the best (hot) French fries I ever tasted! I guess the McDonald's/Disney partnership ended when they left DTD.

Oh man, the Mickey's Parade bars!! Were those ever sold in the parks?

I remember getting those in preschool a lot. I always thought those faces looked NOTHING like Mickey. They weren't bad, and I seem to recall the brown on the face being chocolate mixed in with the white vanilla, but wow...that's a throwback!!!

I think our local Good Humor guy may have also had them, but I was more of a firecracker pop kid

I, too, miss the cinnamon pretzels, but what I miss the most is the chocolate cake from the Main Street Bakery. It's been years, but I have fond recollections of picking up slices for the family as we watched the parade or fireworks.

I still mourn the removal of Coral Reef's Blackened Catfish - served over pepper jack cheese grits, with smoked tomato compote, balsamic glaze. Why??? The catfish are farmed in the Land Pavilion right there (sniff).

That was my favorite main course in all of WDW, I got it every time and was so bummed when it was taken off the menu. This year I'm going to be sad about the missing jalapeno cheese pretzel.
